Textured Rainbow Painting
Create a unique work of art using a familiar item: salt!
- 1 sheet of colored paper
- Elemer’s white glue
- Table salt
- Water colors
- Paint brush
1) Draw a picture with your pencil onto the colored paper.
2) Trace your drawing with the white glue. You will need to use enough so that your glue is visible along the lines.
3) Cover the glue with table salt. Pour off excess salt into trash.
4) Wait for glue to completely dry.
5) Use watercolors to paint only on top of the dried glue and salt.
6) Enjoy your unique painting!
Book of the Week
Hair Love by Matthew A. Cherry
This beautiful story of a father-daughter relationship highlights the importance of loving the body, skin, and hair that you are born with. It is a wonderful resource when discussing why people look different from one another.
